"American Kaiju Blues" Sci Fi Poetry Reading @ the Moon Tide Press Release Party for J.D. Isip's "Reluctant Prophets"

The homie J.D. Isip was sweet and generous enough to invite me to read at the release party for his 2nd poetry collection Reluctant Prophets out now by Moon Tide Press.

My friends Jim, Ruth, and Melle helped me tremendously in shaping “American Kaiju Blues” into what it is now, I'm elated and honored that Dark Winter Lit will be publishing it next week, and doubly grateful to Victor Yates for recording my performance of my little sci fi poem.

Wearing the persona and experience of a gargantuan monster reaping havoc in Los Angeles was a blast to explore in the piece, and it is thrilling and a huge honor to have my work land well with so many people I look up to, including but not limited to Monica Prince, Ellen Webre, Katie Manning, Jeremy Ra, and Denton Loving.
